The Our Lady of Fatima Parish used to be a chapel community of the Most Holy Redeemer Parish in Brixton Hills, under the care of the Sacred Heart Missinaries. The Chapel was built mainly because of the stories about the shower of petals in a house located at the corner of Luksot and Cordillera streets, which was adjacent to the house of th MSC fathers. Upon hearing these stories, the faithful in the area flocked to the site, and prompted them to build a make-shift  chapel. they eventually realized the need for achurch of their own. A vacant lot a long Alcam St. (now Lourdes Castillo Street) was chosen as the site, In 1973, diocesan clergy took over adminstration of the Most Holy Redeemer Parish for the MSC fathers.

On May 18, 1974, Archbishop Sin visited the Most Holy redeemer Parish, after which also visited the chaple community of Our lady of Fatima. Seeing the need to address more deeply the spiritual needs of the community, he announced right there and then that Our Lady of Fatima Parish be established formally.  Three days after, the decree came  for the creation of the new parish, and four days laterm Fr. Agerico Galanf ws installed as the first parish priest.
